The University of Piraeus, with a strong presence and prestige in the international scientific and wider academic field, presents, during its long course, important work with remarkable results in the field of international relations and collaborations with academic institutions abroad.

Specifically, in this context, the Department is responsible for coordinating and managing the Scientific Cooperation Agreements  signed by the University with equivalent Universities or equivalent Higher Institutions in Europe, the Balkans and the Black Sea countries, Russia, the USA, Canada, Australia, the Middle and the Far East.

These agreements concern many scientific disciplines, benefiting the scientific staff, students and institutions participating in them.

The Office also undertakes all necessary actions annually for the University of Piraeus to participate in International Meetings (International Association of Universities, European Association of Universities, etc.), in order to be informed and contribute with its presence to decisions and actions concerning studies and Higher Education in general. The presence of the University of Piraeus in international affairs is strengthened by its active participation in 5 International Associations and Organizations.

  • Line: Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) & Metro Line 1 (Green Line)

  • Route: Take Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) from the airport to Monastiraki Station, then transfer to Metro Line 1 (Green Line) towards Piraeus.

  • Stop: Get off at “Piraeus” Station and take a short bus or taxi ride to the university.

  • Duration: Approximately 70 minutes.

  • Cost: €9 for a one-way ticket (€4.50 for children, students, and seniors). A 3-day tourist ticket (€20) is also available.

  • Operating Hours: 06:30 – 23:30 (trains every 30 minutes).

  • Route: Direct from the airport to Piraeus.

  • Stop: Get off at “Terpsithea” or “Dimarcheio” (Piraeus City Hall), a short walk from the university.

  • Duration: 80-90 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Cost: €5.50 for adults (€2.70 for reduced fares).

  • Operating Hours: 24/7 (buses every 20-30 minutes).

  • Where to Board: The bus stop is located outside Exit 5 at the Arrivals level.

  • Availability: Available 24/7 outside the Arrivals level.

  • Duration: Around 45-55 minutes (longer during peak hours).

  • Cost: Flat rate of €54 during the day (05:00-24:00), €70 at night (00:00-05:00).

  • Additional Info: Official airport taxis are yellow with a taxi sign.
