Responsibilities of the Department

  • The submission of proposals for the preparation of programmes concerning the Institution’s technical projects.
  • The preparation of architectural, structural and electromechanical studies.
  • Outsourcing and monitoring of studies.
  • Submitting recommendations to the Technical Council
  • Keeping the study file
  • Implementing the programme for the construction of buildings or the remodelling of existing buildings.
  • The publication and conduct of tenders for the appointment of contractors for the execution of works and the drawing up of construction contracts.
  • Supervising the execution of works, measuring, approving accounts, drawing up comparative tables and protocols for establishing unit prices for new works, taking delivery of works, and any work arising from the application of the relevant legislation.
  • The awarding of contracts for the execution of small works.
  • The repair and maintenance of all types of equipment and buildings, the repair and maintenance of electromechanical and hydraulic installations and infrastructure works.
  • The supply of materials required only for exceptional and unforeseen needs for the repair and maintenance of the abovementioned equipment.
  • Operation of a warehouse for consumables and non-electromechanical and other material.
  • Keeping the necessary books and records.
