University of Piraeus Showcases Innovative “TEAM” Project at ERACON 2024 in Porto.

The University of Piraeus proudly participated in the prestigious ERASMUS Congress and Exhibition – ERACON 2024, held in Porto from June 24-28. This significant event brought together over 140 universities, professionals, and policy-makers from across Europe to discuss the future of ERASMUS+ and to share insights on best practices and ongoing projects.

During the conference, the University of Piraeus presented its groundbreaking project, titled “TEAM” (Telemedicine and Digital Health Micro-Credentials). The “TEAM” project, which focuses on equipping students and professionals with essential skills in telemedicine and digital health, has now reached over 100 universities, contributing to the development of innovative educational frameworks within the ERASMUS+ program.

Key highlights of ERACON 2024 included the latest updates on the ERASMUS+ program and a round-table discussion on the next programming period, 2028-2034, in which the European Commission participated.

The presentation of the “TEAM” project further strengthened the University of Piraeus’ commitment to fostering innovation and cross-border collaboration in higher education. Through the ERASMUS+ program, the university aims to support the global exchange of knowledge and the development of cutting-edge competencies in the digital health sector.
