ESTIEM European organization (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management) is a non-profit student organization that connects students and graduates of Industrial Management and Technology in a large network of 77 university groups across 27 countries, with over 30,000 students and 1,500 alumni.  ESTIEM local Group Piraeus is the chapter of the ESTIEM European organization at the University of Piraeus

Our Activities  

At ESTIEM Local Group Piraeus, we organize a variety of activities that help students develop academically and professionally by combining engineering and management.  

1.  Educational Seminars

Through workshops and case studies, students develop practical skills that will be valuable for their future careers. Key topics include:  

• Lean Six Sigma: Process optimization and waste reduction in industries.  
• Project Management: Basic principles of project management, agile methodologies, and practical applications.  
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Development of skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.  

2. Competitions and Case Studies

Our members have the opportunity to test their knowledge in real business challenges and propose solutions to realistic scenarios.  

• TIMES (Tournament in Management and Engineering Skills): The largest pan-European competition for Industrial Management & Technology students, featuring simulations and case studies of real businesses.  
• StartUp Competitions: Contests for new business ideas, where students learn how to pitch a project to investors.  

3. Collaborations with Companies

Through our partnerships with companies and other organizations, we offer students opportunities to connect with the job market and meet industry professionals.  

• Mentorship Programs: Guidance from professionals for career and personal development.  
• Career Fairs: Opportunities to connect with companies looking for new talent.  
• Company Visits: Visits to businesses to get firsthand insight into industry operations.
