Staff Mobility – Documents

If someone is interested in joining University of Piraeus under the Erasmus+ KA171, International Credit Mobility, first we need to have an official nomination from the Home University at the IRO (icm-erasmus@unipi.gr), with name and email of the academic or administrative staff , interested in applying for a mobility.

Afterwards, the interersted staff member will have to proceed with Filling the Application Form in regard to the existing Project of ICM and the Academic Year, asking details:

  1. Personal Information
  2. Banking Information
  3. Home University
  4. Receiving University/Organization/Faculty
  5. Mobility Reason
  6. Preferrable Dates

Once the Application form is successfully completed, the IRO needs 1-2 days in order to facilitate the application(due to internal procedures) and send the Official Invitation Letter.

Special Notice: Many applicants that come from Partner Countries may need to apply for a Visa. Firstly, they will need to inform the IRO, so the Invitation letter can be facilitated as a Scholarship Award that can be presented to the Embassy for the application of a Visa. In order to know whether you will need a VISA or not, you can always contact the Greek Embassy or Consulate in your country or even check the site of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Now comes the required documents for a Staff Mobility for Teaching or Training and they are divided into 2 categories as depicted to the Guidelines of Erasmus+ Project :

Regarding the 80%

  1. Insurance Contract covering the whole period of the mobility;
    • Health Insurance(compulsory)
    • General Liability Insurance for third parties,(optional)
    • Personal Accident Insurance valid in the EU(optional)
  2. A copy of the Passport,
  3. Ticket Reservation, with the reservation stating as it foillows: the arrival before the actual first activity day and the departure, after the last actual activity day,
  4. Grant Agreement,
  5. Teaching or Training Agreement as related to the Mobility Reason.

Regarding the 20%

  1. EU Survey completed and submitted that will be sent, from the Beneficiary Module Platform, to the preferable email, on the last day of the mobility
  2. Boarding Passes of Arrival & Departure of the Staff
  3. Certification of Attendance, fashioned & facilitated by the IRO of the University of Piraeus

Some instructions relevant to the Project’s Best Facilitation: 

  1. On the first Activity Day of every mobility, the staff needs to come by the IRO and deposits its Boarding Pass of Arrival, get informed about the schedule of the Mobility and Receive the Arrival Certificate
  2. The deposit of the 2 installments needs to have the folder completed with the relevant documents. It takes aproximately 30 days for the deposit of the sum in both cases.
