Dr Alexandra Alexandropoulou is an Assistant Professor of “Environmental Management and Sustainable Development – Economic and Technical Analysis” at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus.

She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of the Aegean, an M.Sc. in Environmental Physics from the Physics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus.

She has more than two decades of professional experience in the public sector, holding executive positions (Head of Department/Direction) in the fields of Environmental Planning, Planning and Development in a large Local Government Organization. Her experience mainly concerns operational programmes’ planning and design, preparation of sustainable development and integrated local development plans, planning, management and implementation of co-funded programmes national and European programmes (including Urban Innovative Actions, Urbact II, Horizon 2020, FP6, Interreg IIB-CADSES, Daphne, Rights Equality Citizenship, Progress, etc.).

Her scientific and research interests focus on Environmental Management, Sustainable Development, Technology and Innovation Management, Development of Business Plans, Corporate Governance, Sustainable Development Business models, Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship.
