The School was established in 2013 and encompasses the Department of Maritime Studies and the Department of Industrial Management and Technology, which have been in operation for over twenty years. Through their outstanding education and research, the Departments of the School have contributed significantly to the preparation of young scientists who currently excel in business, research and academia both in Greece and abroad, as well as towards the enrichment of knowledge in the leading sectors of the national and global economy they serve.

In a period of rapid change and great challenges for our country and the world, the School of Maritime and Industrial Studies gives priority to academic quality, multi-disciplinarity and openness as key factors in the success of its mission. The School is fully committed to seeking and building new avenues for the development of a new technological and economic reality in industry and shipping, which will produce more opportunities for young people, but also a greater need for social responsibility.
